Reporting to the COO, I was responsible for the general management of a $30M automated solutions (capital equipment) business vertical that specialized in the design, build, and service of automated multi-physics micro-manufacturing systems for life sciences and MedTech applications.  I steered factory automation technology, ERP/MRP/MES integration, Operational/Enterprise Excellence, NPI, IQ/OQ/PQ standardization across 15 global MedTech sites in NA, EMEA, and LATAM regions.

  • Transformed a fragmented team into a high-performance team, resulting in the achievement of 60% year on year growth, within 6 months of employment, by crafting governance, methods, and tools for product innovation and product development.

Reporting to the Group President I was responsible for the general management (with full P&L) of a new high-tech plant for the design, development, and manufacturing of mission-critical aircraft engine 3D woven carbon fiber injection-molded composites components, with contract value of $500M; Transformed 20,000 sq. ft. development cell into 80,000 sq. ft. full rate production facility within first 1 year via brownfield expansion.

  • Exceeded all safety, quality, and financial KPI's of annual operating plan and secured strategic 5-year plan for double-digit growth with an authentic, engaging, and people-first leadership philosophy; achieved 100% on-time-delivery & 99% yield.

Reporting the SVP/General Manager, I was responsible for the technology portfolio, new product introduction, and manufacturing systems by shaping and scaling up a responsive, multi-disciplinary engineering center of excellence across 3 textile-weaving & closed-molding manufacturing centers in United States, France, and Mexico.

  • Harmonized KPI, NPI process, and teams of mechanical, electrical, design, process, configuration, manufacturing, and software engineers across cultures and locations. Secured industry & regulatory certification for sites.

As a leader in the Chief Technology Office, I led a corporate multi-disciplinary team of senior scientists & engineers to provide corporate-level steering of R&D,  standards, product testing, certification, and regulatory compliance for 4 business markets (Airbus Commercial, Boeing Commmerical, Business Jets, and Defense) of $6.5 billion combined revenue.  Also served as a senior customer-facing expat in France to streamline the design, development, analysis, and fabrication of a $20M aircraft product.

  • Designed, built, aligned a multi-national, multi-nodal (across 9 cities in 5 countries), multi-disciplinary product development team from the ground up to peak size of 140.

USA | 2010 - 2011

Provided technical expertise guidance and managed the activities of 15-20 engineers (domestic and international) in providing design & analysis, build & test support for fighter jet propulsion systems development during low-rate initial production (LRIP) phase.

  • Mitigated a business threat by reduced design verification and validation lead time from 1 year to 6 weeks and developing full-scale engine shake rig testing as an in-house core competency within 6 months of employment at a new company and industry.

Drove the completion of market-timing-critical design initiatives to offer customers greater engine operational flexibility, lower product life-cycle costs, improve design robustness, extend product lifetime, and ensure technology readiness and differentiation in the gas turbine marketplace.
